Our Hilo Eye Clinic and Optical boutique is located in Downtown Hilo on Wailuku Drive between Kinoole Street and Kaiulani Street. Wailuku Drive runs mauka to makai and is parallel to Waianuenue Avenue. Our building faces the Wailuku River directly behind the Hilo Library that is located on Waianuenue Avenue accross from Kozmic Kones. This building was once occupied by Hui Malama Ola Na `Oiwi and Patch Services. We are next door to Hilo Legal Aid facing the waterfalls on the Wailuku River.
From Hamakua headed towards Hilo:
If you are headed south on Hawai`i Belt Road Highway Number 11 coming from Hamakua or Waimea, once you have crossed the "Singing Bridge" entering Downtown Hilo, make a right onto Waianuenue Ave and then make an immediate right onto Kamehameha Avenue to turn back towards the river.
Once you pass the curve heading towards the left by the river on Kamehameha Avenue, Kamehameha Avenue then turns into Wailuku Drive. Follow Wailuku Drive until you pass the second bridge on your right at Wainaku Street. Stay straight on Wailuku Drive and our building follows immediately on your left. Look for the big car port with lava rock columns where we will welcome you to Eyeland EyeDoc Hilo.
From Hilo Airport on Kamehameha Avenue headed towards Downtown:
If you are heading North on Kamehameha Avenue coming from the airport towards Downtown Hilo, stay straight all the way on Kamehameha Avenue until you reach the Wailuku River at the big curve (after you pass the Hilo Bay Front commercial area and cross Waianuenue Avenue).
Once you pass the curve heading towards the left by the river on Kamehameha Avenue, Kamehameha Avenue then turns into Wailuku Drive. Follow Wailuku Drive until you pass the second bridge on your right at Wainaku Street. Stay straight on Wailuku Drive and our building follows immediately on your left. Look for the big car port with lava rock columns where we will welcome you to Eyeland EyeDoc Hilo.
From Kilauea Avenue in Hilo headed towards Downtown:
If you are heading North on Kilauea Avenue, stay on the right before you pass the KTA near the Hilo Farmers Market and continue heading straight on Kilauea Avenue. Kilauea Avenue turns into Keawe Street from that point on. Stay on Keawe Street and cross Waianuenue Avenue. Wailuku Drive will be your second left immediately before the bridge. Do not cross any bridge, simply make a left and follow the windy road with the river on your right hand side. Pass the next bridge that is on your right at Wainaku Street and our building follows immediately on your left. Look for the big car port with lava rock columns where we will welcome you to Eyeland EyeDoc Hilo.
